Chemical element symbol: Bi. Bi is brittle, hard crystalline orthorhombic coarse-grained, with the color of silver white or red metal metallic luster. It can absorb radiation. Melting point 271.3 ℃, boiling point (1560 ± 5) ℃. Soluble in hot sulfuric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia, slowly soluble in hot hydrochloric acid, insoluble in water.  It keeps steady at normal temperatures and makes pale blue flame when heated with producing a yellow or brown bismuth oxide. After the molten metal cools down, its volume increases.
Usage:  it is a low melting point product which mainly used for medicine, and as a low melting point alloy materials, and it contained bismuth blue, bismuth amalgam ; bismuth oxide can be used for the raw material of production for pearlescent pigment, metallurgy additives, catalysts, cosmetics, ferrite additives, semiconductor high-purity raw materials and high-temperature superconducting materials, nuclear reactor cooling agent.
